I agree too. But I think the dogmatism started way earlier. It stemmed from the introduction of British/western conceptualisations on Sikhs during the colonial period that we haven't shaken off yet. Somehow we incorporated an Abrahamic framework on Sikhi and created 'Sikhism'.
