Charitropakhyan

Some of the posters on this forum have been entertaining this "kaur" with answers to a topic that she has no knowledge of. This poster, (I am convinced it's her from her writing) was also on Sikh Awareness. Her name is Satkiran and she posted the same arguments, with the same key words, against Charitropkhyan over and over on that forum. She was a member of the Maritime Gurdwara comiittee (who are totally anti Dasam Granth). Satkiran claims to be a Sikh for 20 odd years (she is a white canadian called Wanda Mcdonald by her own admission) but yet cannot put 2 or 3 words of Panjabi together. Her views on Sri Dasme Patshah's Granth have been entirely shaped by people with no knowledge of Sri Dasme Patshah's Granth. She is too weak in Gurmukhi/panjabi to do her own research into this granth and so relies on others translations to help her. On Sikh Awareness there was the usual rat "sunny doad aka sheikhyobooty/uklondonsikh/guptveer1699 etc" who was posting wrong translations of Sri Dasme Patshah's Granth and other texts and Satkiran was feeding off them. You can reply to her befittingly as some of you have done, but she will not change. She will just come back with the same rubbish a few months later in another disguise. From youtube comments on Basics of Sikhi "Questions about Dasam Granth? " : Wanda McDonald1 month ago My issue is that Charitropakhyan openly denigrates women with messages to Singhs like don't trust women, don't allow women to lead, that women are all deceitful (it actually says women are the embodiment of deceit) In one charitar it speaks of a cheating husband who's wife finds out and then convinces him that she is all obedient (as if obedience / subservience is the pinnacle of being a good wife) and convinces him to let her go out. She then cheats on him. The moral message at the end of the charitar is that singhs should never trust women because if given too much freedom and trust she will make a fool of you. (In other words women are to be controlled and never given freedom let alone chance to lead) Her cheating is not what was the issue so much as that she made him a fool. His cheating is not condemned at all by the way. In another charitar a woman maid is severely beaten and ends up killing the trader and his wife who beat her. She is the one condemned as having deceived them. The severe beating she received is never condemned at all. So it's condoning abuse of woman. In another charitar 312 it outright says God regretted creating the female gender. There are no corresponding charitars about males putting males down as deceitful etc. Why? Would Guru Gobind Singh Ji really think women are deceitful and never to be trusted by Singhs? Would Guru Gobind Singh really say that Waheguru regretted creating the female gender? Are we (females) just to be owned and controlled by males and seen as lowly and subservient only?
